Sen. Perdue not interested in compromising with Dems: "There's a new sheriff in town"

As a new Republican-dominated government takes form, Senator David Perdue has expressed little interest in compromising with the Democratic Party.

In an interview with Rusty Humphries, who hosts a podcast for The Washington Times, said the Democrats should be aware that "there's a new sheriff in town, and he's talking about actually obeying the federal law".

There has been recent speculation that Perdue, an early support of the Trump campaign, is being considered for Secretary of Commerce for the new administration. His office, however, has declined to comment on the matter.
